Leron Sinta Make Up Song

Sakripisyo ditto, sakripisyo doon, handing ibigay pati sariling buhay.

Sakripisyo’y di basta-basta, yan an gating ina.

Reflection in Multigrade Teaching

Theme: “Enhancing Competence in Multigrade Teaching to address the Demands of the 21ST Century Education”

Ø  To be successful multigrade teacher, I must balance my time effectively and prepare variety of activities to keep all groups of students engaged in the multigrade environment which is an opportunity to develop new and more effective teaching processes.
Ø Multigrade teaching is an important and appropriate way to provide good quality education to children who are often neglected by their education system because of the area of living they have, poor and remote communities.
Ø Learning environment should also be considered to create a classroom conducive to learning.
Ø Multigrade classroom provide the opportunity to break down the hindrance between grades and look at the students as group of learners.

Ø As a multi grade teacher, I am the key to plan, design, and manage the range of both grade - appropriate and mixed - grade activities for children to keep the interest for the learners to learn.

Ø And as a Mulltigrade, you have to be flexible and use various teaching methods, according to their specific teaching need at the time. This not only supports the educational worth of the teacher and serves the national curriculum goals, but also represent flexible methods that encourage children to be independent and develop their personalities.

Reflection in Special Education and Alternative Learning System

Republic of the Philippines
MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY
COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

Name: Mariz T. Ombajin                                          Sched: 10:30-11:30
Subject: Cite 3                                                          Prof.: Diane Mae P. Ulanday
REFLECTION
Special Education is not just a simple education where pupils and teachers can easily understand and communicate each other base in normal classroom set-up. Special Education is really something special where the pupils in this curriculum must take more attention compare to normal set up, where they should have enough special needs for their special capabilities and special provisions for their different conditions.
I learned from our seminar that children with special needs have many types and these are the children with gifted knowledge, skills or talents, where from the very young age they easily understand the lessons or can even advance their lessons and compete to higher year level; children with autism, I learned that these kind of children are mostly boys and good looking and have repetitive works; cerebral palsy, these children have no muscular coordination ;children with down syndrome, these children are young at mind but matured based on their body they have similar with children with autism; mental retardation are the most severe case, where they could not recognize their parents or  family; children with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), these children are very energetic and productive where they always want to catch the attention of everybody; learning disabilities, children with difficult to comprehend; children with different impairments in visual, hearing and physical and also the children with behavioral problems, where mostly they are so violent.
Children with special needs or even the adult one should be understand and accept in society as part of it because they still human after all even though they think and act as young they still have feelings and can feel indifference. Love and care are still the best remedy for these special people.

REFLECTION
Alternative Learning System is a ladderized, modular non-formal education program in the Philippines for dropouts in elementary and secondary schools, out-of-school youths, non-readers, working Filipinos and even senior citizens. It is part of the educational system of the Philippines but an alternative to the regular classroom studies where Filipino students are required to attend daily. The alternative system only requires students to choose schedules according to their choice and availability where they could still work at weekdays and study in weekend.
ALS help the people to become more educated and accessible to knowledge through this program many dropouts and out of school youth continue to follow their dreams and hoping for a better future where mostly they continue their education and trying to get a degree in college in order to have a good and decent job.
Moreover, it may be true that the ALS of the Philippines have been a great help to anybody, but for my insights the education that they offer to the learners cannot suffice the educational needs for them to qualify for higher education and even to land in good and decent jobs. The students may have acquired the basic literacy but that is not enough for them to qualify for pursuing higher education especially if they go back to formal schools. The quality education is at risk. They may have learned the basics of education but then again, in our current society wherein it is very competitive, the need for higher education is still the demand to qualify for jobs. But then again ALS is still a great help for only getting the basic knowledge and it’s up to the learners on how to cope up the lessons and compete in college to have a more good and decent jobs in the future.

Sino nga si Manuel Bernabe?

Manuel Bernabe

“No Mas Amor Que El Tuyo”
No mas amor que el tuyo
O Corazon Divino
El pueblo Filipino
Te da su Corazon
En templos y en hogares
Te invoque nuestra lengua:
Tu reinaras sin mengua
De Aparri hasta Jolo.

“Walang Pag-ibig na Tulad ng sa Iyo”
Walang pag-ibig na tulad ng sa iyo
O pusong Bathala
Ang baying Pilipino’y
Puso sa iyo inihandog
Sa mga templo at tahanan
Sa iyo’y humihibik:
Maghahari kang walang-maliw
Mula sa Aparri hanggang Jolo.

Sanaysay tungkol Wikang Filipino

Angkop na angkop ito sa pananaw ni Umberto Eco sa kanyang sanaysay na “Language, Power, Force” binanggit niya, “We must not be amazed then to hear people say that the given language is power... because outside the given language there is nothing.”

General Santos City to Aloran, Misamis Occidental (Land trip)

Have you been to Aloran?
Or are you planning visiting this place?

Ok if you want to know how much would you spend in travelling this place let me share to you my experience. This is a land trip or road trip so it’s all about buses and get ready with back pain haha.

So our starting point is in General Santos City, Gensan to Davao will cost you P190 then if you are already in the Davao City make sure you eat first and buy some foods because Davao to Cagayan is very long road trip so keep foods as many as you need and don’t worry most of the buses have some cr inside.

Davao to Cagayan (aircon) will cost you P600 and after you arrive at their terminal take note of this they have two terminals arrival and departure so in order for you to go to the departure terminal (I forgot the name) you will ride a multicab the fare is P12 but if you’re  rich you can ride a taxi but for me if you are travelling alone, want to be more practical, multicab is for me much more safe compare to taxi because you don’t know the places and you should join the other passengers and ofcourse be alert with your bags and things.

If you are already in the departure terminal of Cagayan de Oro you will pay the terminal fee P4 then eat first before travelling. If you arrive early in the morning maybe you can ride the bus with the sign of Dipolog it is more convenient than transferring to other buses every terminal especially if you have lots of bags and let the” kondoktor “you want to go in aloran so he will give you the ticket (I forgot how much but don’t worry it is reasonable price) but if you arrive late and didn’t see the bus with dipolog sign.  Ride in the bus with the signboard of Iligan (aircon para mabilis), the fare is P85. Then if you are already in the Iligan terminal ride a bus with a Mukas signboard that will cost you P80.

Then If you arrive at the Mukas terminal you can walk or ride a trysikad (believe me it so near) to Daima Shipping Corp or people call it “Barge” you will fall in line and get a ticket P25 and ride the barge and if you see a bus inside the barge ride it in order for you to save money going to the Ozamis terminal from the barge. But if you didn’t see any bus inside after you arrive at the port of Ozamis you will ride a trysikad (beware of some not all but some drivers that will make you pay more than P30, The usual fare is P10-20 and be alert with  your things.
OZAMIS BUS TERMINAL
If you arrive at the Ozamis Terminal ride a bus with a signboard of Dipolog and tell the kondoktor you want to go in Aloran it will cost you P55. Then welcome to ALORAN, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL!

General Santos City- Davao City P190
Davao City- Cagayan De Oro City Terminal P600
Multicab P12
Terminal Fee P4
Cagayan de Oro- Iligan City P85
Iligan City-Mukas P80
Barge (Daima Shipping) P25
Trysikad P20
Ozamis City- Aloran, Misamis Occidental P55
The total fare that you will spend is P1071  SAKAY NA!

Tatak Pinoy
